Title: Hiding
Fandom: Original
Length: 20 lines
Summary: Hiding from my pursuers

I hear them crashing through the house
My heart begins to pound
I’m huddled in the bathroom
Hoping I might not be found

Keeping quiet; frozen still
Now the hunters move on past
They’ll track me here eventually
This moment cannot last

But oh, I wish my hiding place
Could grant me a reprieve
Could open up and swallow me
… but I don’t really want to leave

"Mummy! Mummy!"
The door begins to shake
The tiny fingers underneath
Touch me even on my break

"My bottom needs a wipe!
I'm hungry!  I need to have some fun!"
Once more into the breach, my friends
My work is just begun
