Summary: Casey is not amused about Zeke's driving skills


Involuntarily Casey jumped back when the familiar black GTO with its red stripes drove onto the school's parking lot with screeching tires; nearly he lost his balance; could save the backpack with his camera only at the last moment.

„Hey, geek boy. What's going on?“

With furious sparkling eyes he turned to the owner of the voice. Zeke Tyler, ignoring the cold of this winter morning just as the school's rules he was leaning against the hood of his car, trying to lit a cigarette.

„You stupid fuck,“ Casey yelled.
„What the hell are you thinking? Asshole.“

Zeke grinned.
„You kiss your mom every morning with this mouth?“

„You are such a shit. The streets are so icy, even the driver of the school's bus didn't drive faster than walking pace this morning. But you are still acting as if the devil is behind you. One day you will break your stupid neck.“

„And you would feel sorry for that?“
Zeke noticed the Casey blushed though he quickly turned away.

„Why should I? As long as it's just your neck. But you put others into trouble, too. I came within an ace of slipping; ruining my camera.“

„Oh. Sorry. Didn't mean to startle you. Thought I would be all alone at the parking lot, like every morning.“

„Well.“
Casey calmed down a bit; at least Zeke's regret seemed to be honest.
„It's okay, I guess. But next time you really should think twice before you show off your driver's skills.“

Zeke only chuckled. But when Casey grabbed his backpack and turned away he held him back.
„Hey, Case, any plans for this weekend?“

The boy shrugged.
„Help my dad fixing the roof of the porch. Some branches broke down because of too much snow last Tuesday.“

„Interested in going to a movie in the evening? Armaggedon, Bruce Willis.“

„Ähm … wow.“
Casey needed a moment to let this sink in. Zeke Tyler asked him … for what? A date? Ridiculous thought. Probably just another joke.
„But the movie is sold out since weeks,“ he finally murmured.

Zeke grinned wide.
„I guess, this is a yes? I will pick you up around seven. We can go to Joey's first; he makes the best pizza in town. My treat, of course, in excuse of my behavior today.“

Casey's heart suddenly was up to his mouth, and all he could think was, that he wouldn't mind that Zeke would scare him half to death every morning when this was the result.
