I just - wanted to have a go at sketching Emeraude-hime in her form and armour from the end, but with the signature hands-clasped pose she prays in as the Pillar. Because 'not what you think' is what the whole of Rayearth 1 is about, because of the true nature of her wish - and the way she is portrayed in the manga is to be fractured into two people, but this Emeraude is the Pillar too, and the Pillar-version of her is also this Emeraude, with the capacity for the rage and despair which creates this armour...

I also wanted just really simple blocked-in colour, and to let myself SKETCH, which pretty much worked! (Apart from the bit where I did one part of her armour red then realised it should have been purple and had to colour over it, heh). And because I want to be able to colour simply where I need to and then put detail where I want focus~ The only places with two colours are her hair, the gems, and her eyes, to give them some extra depth and balance out the strength of the colours of her armour.
