He kept quiet, inwardly cringing. It was always the same. The moment he told that he couldn't remember his name, that he couldn't remember anything of his past, the guy would back away, look for a faint excuse and took his heels.

One should think that people were used to much worse. A virus had killed almost every adult within some weeks, the world was turned into a madhouse, and all that counted was to survive the next day.

„Hey, name is Ezekiel. What's yours?“

Finally he dared to look up.
„Smith,“ he murmured.
„Mr. Smith.“
