Title: Army of Two
Fandom: BBC Sherlock
Song: Army of Two by Olly Murs
Rating: PG
Length: 4:47
Content Notes: Sherlock/John shippiness
Author's Note: Also under 'Music' and 'Hand' challenges. This is a vid I've had playing in the back of my mind for literally years, since the very first time I heard this song, but I've never been bothered to make it a reality... until now.  ;)

Thank you so much, I'm really glad you enjoyed it. I wish I could say it was talent, but it was just so damn much hard slog and not sleeping and my crappy free video editing software randomly corrupting my clips--I'm really glad it came across as magic in the end, because that's what it was in my head, and to have transmitted that feeling makes it all worthwhile. :)

This is great! I saw you'd posted at lunchtime, but couldn't watch until I got home. Very much worth waiting for! The clips hang together so well. Congratulations!

Thanks, I'm very glad you enjoyed it, and that it felt cohesive! The OMG effort involved notwithstanding, I'm really pleased with the result. Thank you! :D

This is wonderful ^_^ It really is the perfect choice of song for your vid.

You've matched the lyrics and the scenes so elegantly - I particularly liked what you did with 'faith is the bullet' and 'raise your right hand' each time.

Thank you so much, I'm really glad you enjoyed it. And oh, isn't the song just amazingly them?! So much of the choreography just fell out easily from the lyrics (of course then there was the epic battle of actually making it happen, but that's another story). And thanks for pulling out your favourite bits! They were definitely moments of great faith, weren't they? The bullets were almost incidental. :) And I loved the hands in this vid, so I'm pleased to hear that came across! Thanks for the lovely comment, much appreciated. :)

Gorgeous! The song choice and the clips choice and the cutting to the beat -- all FTW!

Thank you so much! I was so pleased at how it all worked together - and is there any way to cut apart from to the beat? ;) Glad you liked it, thanks for commenting!

Well, it's just that some vidders don't match the image to the beat as well as do others. Not that there is a deliberate cutting not to the beat, just that some are so much less successful than others at doing it.

Hah, yes, I know. Thank you for the compliment. I was meaning more... there is no possibility that I personally would have been doing anything other than spending hours frame-by-framing and millisecond timing each clip so that eg the swirl of a coat would fall at just the right moment, while internally yelling at mofftiss "could you not have let that moment play just *one frame* longer?!" and at myself OMG IT DOESNT MATTER LET IT GO because my brain. ;) I'm really glad the obsessiveness paid off in the result. :)
