The day after Jessica escaped from Kilgrave she showed up on Trish’s doorstep with a vacant expression on her face. On the surface there wasn’t a bruise, cut, or mark on her but it was clear to Trish that there was more going on inside.

She ushered Jessica in, noticing the way Jessica flinched when her hands brushed her shoulders. Jessica never had been a touchy person but she never flinched from her touch before. Whatever Kilgrave had done changed Jessica and all Trish wanted to do was give her as much comfort as she could.

“Jess…”

“Could you get me a change of clothes, Trish?” Jessica’s voice cracked. She was trying to hard to keep it together and not show weakness in front of Trish but Trish happened to be the only person Jessica couldn’t hide it from.

“Yeah, of course.”

“After you get me the clothes could you do one more thing for me?”

Trish smiles softly. “What do you need Jess?”

“Take these things out of my sight and fucking burn them.”

She would only be more than happy to do so.
