None of them wear fancy clothes.

Of course, there’s always accusations flying around, like that Celegorm is a peacock or that Turgon spends too much time on his appearance to go on hunts with the rest of them. Nobody is ever quite sure where those started, since they seem to pop out of the ground already established as facts for the other side.

But none of them wear fancy clothes. Once, in Valinor, they did. If they ever establish their kingdoms here they might again, but for now they’ve lost that to ice or fire, along with some of their embroiderers and jewelers.

Curufin spends his time on weapondry, and there’s no time to dye thread, let alone to sew the delicate patterns they once used.

They look more like their people now.
