Robots were supposed to be many things, but never kind.

And yet –

DUM-E stretched his arm out, trying to wipe the sweat off his creator’s forehead (never mind that the rag was dirty with oil and grease, it was the thought that counted).

You did his best to clean the workshop, making a pathway so that he didn’t hurt himself even more.

And J.A.R.V.I.S.- J.A.R.V.I.S. comforted him, speaking to him, so that he knew he wasn’t alone.

They were learning robots, though some wondered why they would have learned kindness from. Certainly not their maker.

The one person who said that in their hearing managed to dodge the wrench, though not the ominous flickering of lights and the voice ordering him to exit the building immediately. Now that was something they had to have learned from Stark, he muttered as he left.
