Summary: Felicity learned a lot of new skills since she started helping Oliver with his work.

It said something about what sort of direction her life had gone the past few years that Felicity had gotten really good at learning how to scrub out bloodstains. When it was just splattered on the skin it was easy enough to get out with some water and whatever kind of soap happened to be available, but anything more serious, especially on the hands, that required a little more work. Those little nail brushes that the fancy salons all had? It turns out those were perfect for getting in between fingers and under cuticles. She figured that one out on her own, but oddly enough it was Diggle who introduced her to exfoliating liquid soap and the wonders of its microbeads.

She'd thought she'd had a fair grasp on cleaning blood out of clothing, thanks to untimely visits by that time of the month's least favorite aunt, but the boys had shown her new techniques and tricks in that regard as well. She'd abandoned a well loved cardigan once, assuming it a lost cause after it had been completely soaked through after being used as a makeshift bandage for Oliver, only to find it folded and waiting for her on her chair a few days later, perfectly clean and practically looking new. She was going to be laughing over the fact that her squeal of delight upon seeing it had startled the usually unflappable Oliver into dropping his coffee for a long, long time.

Another skill Felicity had come to learn was first aid. And not the simple kind of care involving band-aids and boo-boos and calls to 911 like the kind she was taught in that Red Cross certification course she'd had a few years ago. Now she had hands on training on cleaning bullet holes and stitching up knife wounds and developed the skill of diagnosing a concussion at fifty paces. Pretty useful skills overall, especially when she could actually get Oliver to plunk his butt down and accept treatment before he keeled over.

Now if only she could get to them avoid being hurt in the first place....
