Fraser is late. Ray checks his watch just to be sure. Yep, Fraser is running ten minutes late and counting.

"C'mon, Ben." Ray stamps his feet as though that will magically make Fraser appear at his side. It doesn't.

"Probably got stuck helping a horde of little old ladies across the road." Ray directs his comments at Diefenbaker but the wolf whines and won't look at Ray.

"C'mon."

There's a dinner reservation waiting. Any longer and the restaurant will give it away.

Just then Dief sticks his muzzle into the air and howls. Ray shivers. Fraser is very late indeed.
