Title: A Child's Rhyme
Fandom: Original
Rating: G
Length: 154 words
Summary: In celebration of all things black and white

We begin our list with the humble Friesian cow
Standing in a field and watching the farmer plough
Then as darkness falls the badger comes in sight
A retiring creature, much preferring the night
Unlike our next choice the spotty Dalmatian dog
Charging round the countryside, jumping o’er a log
From here we move to a striped black and white horse
Not like the normal equine as it’s a zebra, of course
But favourite of the mammals has to be the panda
Not in this country, but seen from a Chinese veranda
And let’s not forget birds like the pied wagtail
Hunting for food, it likes an insect not a snail
Ten times as big a bird is the cawing magpie
Whether sitting in a tree or flying in the sky
And last of all, the penguin, a bird though quite flightless
It is, of all creatures black and white, my favourite, I confess
