For the credit prompt, I have to 'give credit where credit is due' and recommend 6 fanfictions I read recently that I truly adored. 5 are from the Buffy-verse and 1 is from the very underrated romcom Mrs. Winterbourne.
Title: The Alphabet of Spuffy by VeroNyxK84
Fandom(s): Buffy, the Vampire Slayer
Reccer notes: I read this adorable drabble series on a whim and I am so glad I did. This writer really understands 'Spuffy' and whenever I read a story from them, I 'hear' Spike so clearly in my head. It's uncanny. This story was so good that it inspired a story of my own in another fandom.
Summary: A few years into the future, Dawn learns that Buffy & Spike are thinking about ending their relationship and she believes they’d make a big mistake, so she stages a small ‘intervention,’ hoping to help them see that they simply hit a bump in the road and they can overcome this one and many others. Although, the way she goes about it is rather unusual.

Title: Go to Page ... by cmk418
Fandom(s): Buffy, the Vampire Slayer
Reccer notes: This is a cute little ficlet. Willow's thoughts are very well, Willow-y. And I love the "Choose You Own Adventure" theme because as a millennial, those were my crack as a kid. Well, not that I was doing a ton of crack as a kid. I mean, you get the point.
Summary: Life with Buffy, while exciting, was beginning to resemble a "Choose Your Own Adventure Novel"

Title: 'How did it end?' by TheTravellingReader
Fandom(s): Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, Angel the Series
Reccer notes: This is the first fic this author wrote, and I can't believe anyone writes something this good straight out of the gate, but they did. They perfectly captured Angel's longing for Cordy and his sadness over all the chances they never got in only a few short paragraphs. They made me an instant fan of their storytelling abilities.
Summary: When the nurse cuts off the call, he does not give himself time to think on it. To brood over it, which they all accuse him of doing so often. Instead he immediately punches their individual office numbers into his phone and asks them all to his office. He manages to mask his tone with the perfunctory, no nonsense bluntness that he has perfected over the years of being in charge. They file in minutes later.

Title: Wake Me With the Morning Light by RoselynnThornwood
Fandom: Buffy, the Vampire Slayer
Reccer notes: Truthfully, I always loved Jenny and Giles's relationship, but I had never sought out fan fiction about them before. However, something compelled me to check out this one shot and I'm so glad I did. It was wonderful, perfect, romantic, sweet.... All the good things. Now I am searching for more J&G fic, hoping to find another gem like it.
Summary: What if Giles and Jenny got a chance to make amends before the events of "Passion"?

Title: Watching by ApacheFireCat
Fandom: Angel the Series
Reccer notes: This Angel and Cordelia (and baby Connor) double drabble grabbed my heart and did not let go. And I don't want it to. It was perfection in every way and I am in love with the story. They make the perfect little trio and the writer captured their dynamic wonderfully. I choose this to be the series endgame, not what happened in canon!

Title: 5 times Bill can't believe he's falling for Connie + 1 she can't believe he loves her by prueturner
Fandom: Mrs. Winterbourne (1996)
Reccer notes: This fic may seem like an anomaly because outwardly it's appears to have nothing in common with the others mentioned above, but actually it does. Like the others, it is an incredibly well-written story, a true must read. I think it's the only fan fiction of Mrs. Winterbourne in existence and that's okay by me, because it would be pretty hard to top it. This is a tale of two people who are completely opposite in every way but somehow fit together so imperfectly perfectly. Check out the story, even if you haven't seen the movie. It's magical.
Summary: Dragging out the love story in this movie a little bit longer.
