The first time Daniel had descended, or more accurately, had descension thrust upon him, he’d been discovered completely naked in the middle of nowhere, so he should probably have been expecting this. On the bright side, at least he was indoors this time, and on his own planet, which was a distinct improvement. He also still had all his memories, which was a welcome change.

He wasn’t disappointed to be alive again, far from it, but why couldn’t his clothes have come along for the ride? Or at the very least, couldn’t he have conveniently appeared somewhere more private, such as the locker room, where he could have at least gotten dressed?

Instead, here he was in Jack’s thankfully empty office, naked and getting a bit chilly, and here he would have to stay, because no way in hell was he going to streak through the SGC in search of something to cover up with. Streaking was probably against military protocol anyway. While he wasn’t military himself, more military adjacent since most of his colleagues were air force personnel, there was the matter of personal dignity to consider, what little of it he had left.

To make matters worse, although the office was currently empty, he could hear people talking out in the conference room. Sooner or later, someone was bound to walk in and catch him living everyone’s nightmare of being naked at work.

Well, no good just standing around waiting to be discovered, might as well get it over with. Maybe if he explained the problem, someone would be kind enough to run and get him a spare uniform. Boots would be nice too.

“I’m in here! Don’t come in!”

Not that Jack listened, but Daniel supposed it WAS his office.
