Summary: Making the best of a moral decision (and working around issues of funding).

In the hotel, after reaching and infiltrating the city (both easier and more fun than sneaking around), sharing the largest pizza available to buy
and with another scarf bought for the road (Meenu is a talented businesswoman), Chloe caps the day off by walking in on Nadine, sitting on the bed (a double), shoes off, and examining the Tusk, rolling it this way and that. "Historical significance, sure, but we did leave that other tusk back in the city. It should tide us over until we get our funding sorted."

"Other - the one with the figures." The very big, very jeweled representation of the Tusk of Ganesh (and the Hoy) they'd found in. One that has proven Frazer's father ... only now that they know that, the opulence of its construction, almost but not quite gaudy are all deserving of some evaluation on its own merits. Wouldn't've been able to get it in the jeep, but then again, the jeep is currently a nonentity.

Chloe flops onto the bed in a manner Nadine would, a week ago, have read as. "Should pad out the finders fee, yeah?"

Nadine leans back against the headboard. Pokes a firm finger at a spot she's ninety seven percent sure isn't bruised. Too badly, at least; Chloe's spent the last week slamming into masonry.

It's a good idea. Excellent, in fact. But - "Drake doesn't get a cut."
