Summary: Milah’s thoughts after hearing her husband is on his way home from war.




Milah had never felt more alone. “Wife of the coward” they now called her. Word had traveled from the front, Rumple was on his way home from the war. Unlike many of the other women’s husbands. Women that had befriended her while her husband was away, and Milah alone and with child.
They said that he had purposefully injured himself . All his talk about wanting to shake his father’s cowardly legacy, and in the end he had run. Their child would grow up being known as the son of a coward, just as his father before him. History repeating itself.
