Title: Mary Sue Snock
Fandom: aw heck, like I know how to characterize this??
Content: low-res picture of a cute item, sorry for the low lighting
smallhobbit and
badly_knitted have been writing Doctor Who and Torchwood stories with snocks, which are adorable snake/sock creatures. I had an idea for how to craft one, and
smallhobbit graciously granted permission.

I have a lot of old mismatched socks that I save for crafting projects, but I couldn't just stuff one -- snocks are only about an inch around! So I turned a sock inside out, folded it over, and sewed all along the side. Turned it back and stuffed it with polyfill I had from my last stuffed animal project.
I wanted to leave a bit of flair at the tail, since the original sock had such pretty picot edging. So I carefully sewed up only the inner layers, which left the outer layer free to flair out. (You can't see it well in this picture, but it's there.)
Violet (button) eyes, of course, for my Mary Sue. Because she's an author-insertion snock. *nodnod*
Many thanks again to
smallhobbit for letting me play with snocks!

Snocks began in Sherlock Holmes (ACD), and migrated to Torchwood and Doctor Who, so I think they count as multi-fandom.
