Buffy leaned against Spike’s shoulder, enjoying the gentle sway of the hammock and the starry night sky.
“You were right about installing this wooden pergola with a hammock in our backyard,” she said, scooping a generous spoonful of ice-cream from the tub sitting between them.
“Told ya,” he said, taking her empty spoon and digging in. “With the ocean air wafting from the Bay we can close our eyes and pretend to be pirates.”
“Why pirates?” she asked, chuckling.
“For the hammock.”
She sighed. “Dawn got you hooked on the Jack Sparrow movies, didn’t she?”
“Yeah, that too,” he admitted.

Haha, well I had this "pirate" prompt to use and I already have another drabble where Buffy and Spike mention having watched one of the Pirate of the Caribbean movies at the cinema. This sounded like a good opportunity to explain how that happened.
I blame Dawn. 😂
