Matt stops suddenly next to a small pop-up stand selling Pride merch.

"Is this where the hackers are?" asks Jay.

"Hm?"

"Well, we have our outfits," he says, pointing out his camo vest and Matt's mesh shirt. "Let's just go back to the LAN guys."

Matt turns to Jay and smirks. "Have you seen the Matrix?"

"Of course."

"It's the greatest hacking movie ever made, right?"

"So?"

"So the directors are transgender." Matt throws out his hands in a flourish.

Jay winces. "I don't know–"

"It's fine. We'll get those triangular rainbow pins, see," he says, pointing them out, "because even allies can wear the rainbow one, right, and then we'll have an even better chance of finding a hacker!"

Jay sighs. "Okay."

"Great!"

Matt starts to approach the stall – Jay grabs him by the neck of his neon orange cargo vest.

"Wait," he says. "The sign says there's a discount if you're trans."

"What are you saying?"

"We just spent three hundred dollars on these outfits. I mean, who knows how much the hacker's going to ask for."

"Good thinking."

Matt walks up to the shopkeep, places his hands on the counter, and smiles.

"Hi, I have a vagina."
