Standing in front of the mirror as he styled his hair, making sure it would behave no matter what the blustery weather did to it, Dee carried out his usual quick check for greys, relieved there didn’t seem to be any more than there had been the previous day.
“You’re lucky,” he told his husband. “Lighter hair means the greys don’t show the way mine do.”
“Also means my hair will turn white, if it doesn’t fall out, while yours will turn silver.”
“You think?”
“Of course. You’ll look distinguished, and I’ll just look old.”
“Old? Nah, never gonna happen. I was wonderin’ whether I should start dyin’ my hair, but then I thought about all the hassle that would involve. Not sure it would be worth the effort.”
“It wouldn’t. I love you just the way you are, a few grey hairs or even a headful of them won’t change that.”
“Yeah? Thanks.” Dee turned from the mirror, smiling. “The same goes for you; you’re still as gorgeous as you were the day we met.”
“Sweet talker.” Ryo pecked Dee on the lips. “Will you still feel that way if I go bald and wrinkly?”
“Count on it, babe.”
The End
