Author's Notes: This prompt said I should do a Havenite character, because it's in French. I was going to do Eloise, but got too stressed, and didn't want to break my streak, so we got Shannon & Lester again. Shannon, you're a wreck.

 I don’t regret taking on Shannon, as much chaos as she can be sometimes. She’s already more than proven herself with Adler. For a couple months, she even looked less haunted. 

 

I also don’t regret stopping her from overworking herself. She’d been working herself nearly into medbay, and claiming she was fine. She’d been fueled on next-to-no sleep, coffee cups covering her desk, and caffeinated chocolates (and no decent meals) for the past week, trying to please me with her report count, when I caught her in the act. I had to try to convince her and get my perfectly normal logic past her sleep-deprived and starting to become paranoid brain (when she realized she needed paranoia, she rapidly went a bit overkill for non-StateSec scenarios).

 

She looks like she needs some decent food (not the ration bars, or various bad meal-replacement-items that I know she doesn’t like, but eats because they are faster than heading to the wardroom. The wardroom even got better food, after Shannon’s black market connections allowed us to funnel some stuff off, and somehow get it for free!), and someone she can trust. I guess I’ll try to be both for her.
