Summary: Just how long had he missed this going on?

“You’re doing it wrong.”

“Yeah? Then show me what I’m doing wrong.”

Claude was on his way to the upper dormitories for the richer students when he heard the quiet conversation and stopped in his tracks as he recognized the owners of the two voices. One was the quiet, solemn teacher of the Black Eagles House - Byleth if he recalled her name correctly and Shez, who had joined the Golden Deer House by request of Lady Rhea.

He would have liked to know what the woman was thinking, when she had made that odd request. If only to understand the choice, because it seemed like there was something weird about the girl as Claude peered around the corner of the door that led to the training area.

He watched as Byleth did a motion with her hand that sent sparks of magic into the air. “Do it like this.”

So, Shez had gone to the Black Eagles teacher for magic help instead of Manuela., He noted as Shez leaned slightly Byleth’s space and carefully copied the motion. This time it seemed as though she had greater success with the magical element, happily exclaiming into the silent world around them. “I got it!”

Part of him wondered just how long he had missed Shez secretly going to the Black Eagles teacher for help instead of their teacher for the Golden Deer?

Though he couldn’t see Byleth’s face, Claude thought he heard a smile in it. “I knew you could do it.”

There wasn’t anything in the rules per say about relationships as far as Claude, but it seemed that he would have to warn Shez to be careful before Manuela got wind of things and started a fuss. But as he forced himself to back away and continue his midnight journey to the upper dormitories, Claude thought he was beginning to understand why Lady Rhea had Shez join his house, instead of allowing her to join the Black Eagles or the Blue Lions.

There was something special - maybe the dangerous sort - about Shez and that meant she would have to be watched carefully as well.
