marvel comics - fanfiction - dream chase
Title: dream chase
Fandom: marvel comics
Characters: Clint Barton, Kate Bishop, Jeff the Land Shark
Length: 200 words
Rating: G
Summary: What do little land sharks dream of?
"Awwww..." Kate tapped him on the shoulder and pointed to the sleeping land shark lying between them on the sofa. "Look, his little legs are twitching," she cooed.
Clint turned away from the TV, glanced down, and shook his head. How the heck had he gotten roped into babysitting (shark-sitting?) Jeff again? He was cute and all but he tended to eat everything in sight if left alone for more than a few minutes. Last time he'd eaten Clint's favorite t-shirt.
"I think he's dreaming," Kate said.
Clint noticed the way the little shark's eyes appeared to twitch under their lids. "Huh." What did land sharks even dream about? The ocean? Eating everything in sight? Murder?
"Do you think he's dreaming of being chased or do you think he's the one doing the chasing?" Kate asked.
Still asleep, Jeff bit at the air, growling his little growl, eyes still shut tight. "Knowing Jeff, he's definitely the one doing the chasing."
"You're probably right." Kate reached down and scratched Jeff's belly. "He's so damn adorable, isn't he?"
"We're not keeping him." His place was barely big enough for him, Kate, and Lucky.
Kate stuck her tongue out at him. "Party Pooper."
