Doorway challenge : The Sims 4 : house build : Welcome Home
Title: Welcome Home
Fandom: The Sims 4 (i guess?)
Rating: G
Content notes: None apply
Summary: screenshots of a house i built in The Sims 4 based on the De La Vega hacienda from the Disney Zorro show (the shape/layout of the house - the decor is a combo of older styles and more modern ones) - it has a lot of doors and views from doors. with special guest appearance by The Winter Soldier (he's one of my 'play tester' sims). [sidenote: no, TS4 doesn't have horses - they are custom content and strictly decorative.]
(click to embiggen - image descriptions below the images)
Exterior full-house shots:

aerial shot from the left looking at the front of the house

aerial shot from the right to the front of the house

aerial shot of the rear of the house and corral/stables
Walking through the house:

the front gate

the upper balcony entries - these lead to the front upstairs bedrooms - the primary suite is at the far end by the stairs

the front door

the view into the grand sala from its door off the foyer - if it was possible to put cool secret doors in cabinets - off to the right would be the secret cabinet door into the secret passage room (it's just a boring ole door in the build)

the Winter Soldier reading a book in the library (the yellow plumbbob just means he's hungry and he'll get food in a bit - the book was his idea)

the door in the library behind the Winter Soldier leads out to this covered patio

a view through the closet/dressing room of the guest room into the full guest bath

a view down the rear hallway toward the door out to the stables, taken from the archway that leads to the two guest rooms (with bonus Winter Soldier heading into the kitchen for a snack)

here is the Winter Soldier in the kitchen making a snack - apparently it involves tomatoes. the door goes to the back patio, the archway, to the formal dining room

the formal dining room. beyond the other archway is a closet and the rear hall with a door out to the stables

this is from the upstairs balcony over the door in the rear hall - you can see the corral and the stables - horses need doors too! off to the right is the bunk house for the ranch hands

still upstairs - across from the other balcony, is this one that's over the guest rooms on the first floor. it's a little larger

the view from the balcony mentioned in the previous image. it was a little overcast in Oasis Springs

the sun came out for this picture of the covered patio from the side patio space behind the fountain
General notes:
- it took me about 3 multi-hour sessions to build the entire house/stable
- i used the floorplan from this fansite (the secret passages are in the build, i just didn't screencap any of them for this)
- alas, no, The Sims 4 doesn't actually have horses - decor only custom content
- Bucky's outfit and hair are custom from somewhere in Sims land. Bucky himself was made be me.
