Summary: A series of three photos.
Notes: Out in the boonies of eastern North Carolina recently, I chanced upon a large duck swimming in a roadside ditch. Then I saw the surprise she had with her: a brood of a full dozen ducklings! :)








It's worth noting that this was only about two days after Hurricane Isaias had blown through. You can see some of the fallen tree debris in the photos. This was a tough little duck family to weather the storm!
