Once Upon a Time: Fanfic: The Bar That Never Was
Title: The Bar That Never Was
Fandom: Once Upon a Time
Rating: PG
Length: 200 words
Warnings: None
Summary: A bar appears in Storybrooke
On the outskirts of Storybrooke, after a long spell of rain, a new bar appears. Just pops up out of nowhere. No building contract, no construction crew. Nothing. A lush empty field one moment and the next a shiny new establishment is sitting there looking pretty and proud.
Various residents trickle in one by one. The dwarves are the first patrons to arrive. Jefferson is the last. They all say it's as if they have been called there by some unseen force. The atmosphere is soothing, the beer is smooth and the service swift. Everyone leaves feeling rested and refreshed.
Eventually, everyone in Storybrooke visits this nameless bar and once the last person has visited for the very first time, it closes up shop and disappears as strangely as it first arrives.
Regina tries to work out the kind of magic responsible for the little bar with disappointing results. Everyone grows sad and restless. One by one they start to forget the nameless bar and soon no one remembers the cute little place out in the middle of nowhere that once upon a time made all their lives just a pinch better before disappearing as if it had never been.
