Title: Spock doll pattern
Fandom: ST:TOS
Content notes: no warnings apply

Artist's notes: created in memory of Leonard Nimoy. And I ended up choosing the Arithmetic prompt for this because, well, Spock, and because I may have spent more time verifying the numbers in my pattern notes than I did freehanding the doll. More photos are located here.

I made a custom Seccotine doll earlier this summer. Since she was originally a Sailor Moon doll she can't wear Barbie shoes (they can wear Barbie clothes, however). So, I had to create some. I used air dry clay the first time too but I think I sculpted it too thinly against her foot, causing both to crack in pieces. This is attempt number two. When I saw this challenge I knew this was the perfect time to try again. Excuse the paint on her feet; I'll clean it up later.

Title: Why's My Sister Dressed Like a Mermaid?
Fandom: Barbie
Rating: K
Warnings: none
Media: dolls
Notes: I collect dolls. One of my favorite items in my collection is a vintage straight leg titian Skipper that is one of the first (if not the first) Skipper dolls. I've always thought that this doll's face can look like she's making an "awkwaaard" expression if you adjusted her head right. I tried to do it here, like with the situation being that Barbie decided let's dress up like a mermaid to go to the beach while everyone else is wearing swimsuits. Since she's the little sister Skipper would just think it's super weird and want to say "I really don't want to be here right now" but can't even as she's getting her picture taken with the over passionate Barbie. I don't think it worked here, but I thought it it's a cute pic regardless. (If you were alive during the mid 90s you'll probably recognize the Barbie.)

skipper's eyebrows are intact but the lighting makes it look like otherwise )
