Title: Spock doll pattern
Fandom: ST:TOS
Content notes: no warnings apply
Rating: G
Artist's notes: created in memory of Leonard Nimoy. And I ended up choosing the Arithmetic prompt for this because, well, Spock, and because I may have spent more time verifying the numbers in my pattern notes than I did freehanding the doll. More photos are located here.

Fandom: Spirou et Fantasio
Media: air dry clay, paint, doll
Rating: K

I made a custom Seccotine doll earlier this summer. Since she was originally a Sailor Moon doll she can't wear Barbie shoes (they can wear Barbie clothes, however). So, I had to create some. I used air dry clay the first time too but I think I sculpted it too thinly against her foot, causing both to crack in pieces. This is attempt number two. When I saw this challenge I knew this was the perfect time to try again. Excuse the paint on her feet; I'll clean it up later.

XMFC: Knitting: Erika Lehnsherr's gloves

  • Nov. 6th, 2013 at 7:10 PM
Title: Erika Lehnsherr's gloves

Fandom: X-Men: First Class (2011)

Characters: Erika Lehnsherr, with a cameo by Olaf The Cat.

Rating: general audiences

Length: Just above the elbows. :)

Content notes: Wool/silk blend on the armwarmers, 100% wool on the glovettes.

Knitter notes: While originally inspired by the Parfait Layered Gloves, I quickly realized that the armwarmers were not going to work as described. I kept the color-change element but the pattern is mine from the ground up. And yes, there are Ms on the backs of the hands. :) Obviously, this is for the "Red" challenge.

Summary: Armwarmers and glovettes inspired by Magneto, or Erika Lehnsherr. [personal profile] cesare and I maintain that Charlotte Xavier is always stealing the red gloves.

And now the pictures! )
