Summary: Neal and Mozzie take Satchmo for a walk.
Warning: None

“Tell me again why we’re walking the dog?”

Neal chuckled as he pulled the canine closer so he would slow down to a gentle pace. “I told you, Peter said that I could make up for our misunderstanding by walking Satchmo just this once so he could have time with Elizabeth.”

Mozzie thought about that for a moment. “You mean the misunderstanding where you nearly pocketed a three hundred million dollar jewel because you forgot to hand it over to evidence?”

“That’s the one.”

“You know it would be easier if you would forget your job once in a while, right?”

“And where would that put us?”

“On a tropical beach somewhere.”

“And running from the law.”

“Which could have its perks.”

“Sometimes.”

“Speaking of perks, the barista we passed seems to be following us.”

Glancing discreetly behind him, Neal stopped instantly when he saw who it was who was following them.

Mozzie panicked. “What are you doing?”

“It’s just an old friend, Moz.”

The man who looked way too large and buff to actually be a mild-mannered server, especially because of the constant sneer across his features, came forward and stopped with his gaze only on Neal. “Larkin.”

Neal smiled. “Casey. What brings you here? Pasadena too hot this time of year?”

The man called Casey, sneered even more. “You haven’t been answering our calls.”

Neal gestured to Satchmo. “Been busy. Anything that I can help you with?”

“Yes. There’s something you can help me with.” Casey leaned forward until he was towering over Neal with as much presence as possible. “Be at the usual place at three if you don’t want your precious dog to lose its fur.” Satchmo whimpered.

Neal’s smile widened. “And here I thought you missed me.”

Glaring once more at Neal, Casey suddenly turned towards Mozzie. “What are you looking at?” Then with a quick turn of his heel, he went back to the coffee shop he came from.

Neal pulled Satchmo and continued walking. “Nice guy, isn’t he?”

Mozzie followed, confused. “When were you in Pasadena?”

“Remember the Parker incident?”

Realisation dawned. “Oh, right. Weren’t you an agent then?”

“Best in the business.”

“How very double-o-seven of you.”

Neal grinned. “Everything except the accent.”

“Wait.” Stopping suddenly, Mozzie pulled out on of his most favourite toys from the hidden pocket in his jacket.

Neal laughed. “Okay, I don’t think he bugged the dog.”

Mozzie sighed when he realised that Neal was, in fact, right. "Amateurs!"

I'm not really in these fandoms, but I've seen a handful of eps and this dialogue is awesome :D I can definitely hear these characters.
