Hannibal: Fanfic: Fault
Title: Fault
Fandom: Hannibal (TV)
Rating: General
Length: 100
Content notes: Using only words from the most common 1000 in English.
Author notes: Based on Walter telling Will he should kill Dolarhyde instead of locking him up.
Summary: Walter (and Molly) post-Wrath of the Lamb.
Dad didn't leave because of me, he told himself the first time. Mom was quiet a lot, and he would play with his train next to her chair, say it over and over in his head. At night he could hear her cry.
This time it's different.
"You should kill him," he'd said, and he'd meant it.
He's too old to play with that train now, but Mom is quiet again. She doesn't cry.
"I don't know if he's dead or just gone," he says quietly to the dog against his side. "But this time, I know it's my fault."
