Adam turns the ticket over in his hands. There are a lot of methods for buying tickets nowadays, most of which don't involve a physical printed-out ticket, but there's something all the more real about holding it in his hands. If he loses it or tears it, all his possibilities of seeing his ex-colleagues disappear with it. As is, he can barely stomach the thought of a reunion. It's fine, however; the ticket for his train isn't until the end of the month. Adam has until then to compose himself, until then to prepare to speak to Vincent face-to-face again.
