Honor Harrington:fanfic: She Spun A Web Of Chaos (Now It's Tearing Itself Apart)
Fandom: Honor Harrington
Rating: G
Summary: A short reflection from Abigail's POV on Shannon, set in an AU of the One More Time AU.
TW: references of a character having PTSD
I know my Admiral has been involved instrings– no, make that webs of chaos, stretching through at least multiple sectors, at latest count. And, she’s told me a couple of stories regarding her time with Admiral Tourville, even if I did get the feeling that they were cherry-picked to have a happier ending than many of her stories. She even dared to make a few more comments regarding Operation Beatrice than normal, if I’m catching her hints correctly.
So why is it that whenever the Confederacy is more than barely mentioned (and sometimes even then), she immediately goes from actually sometimes answering a few questions, to completely shutting up (and normally leaving the room for another “meeting” or cup of coffee). And what’s up with all the random comments about the IAN that don’t make sense? And me being blocked on trying to find the old Confederacy first war reports, in the RHN database?
The closest she’s come is when I asked her about the need for me to take German lessons, in preparation for the IAN visit. She looked more haunted than I’ve seen her before- or since when she told me she didn’t do German lessons, and not to ask my French tutor, Captain MacMurtree about German lessons either. Can she please at least direct me towards reports of what happened, before I set her off like that again?
