“Iwa-chan, be careful!”
“I am careful, will you stop whining?” Hajime snapped, unable to hide his frustration.
Even if he did fall, he couldn’t drown in water that barely went up to his navel.
He tightened his grip on the bug net he’d brought to their outing, moving it carefully until- yes!
With a satisfied grin, Hajime picked up the stray toy and stepped away from the riverbank.
“I saved it. Now we can play.”
Tooru wrinkled his nose at the algae-covered ball he’d wanted back so badly two minutes ago.
“I’m not playing with that. It’s all gross now!”
