Fullmetal Alchemist: Fic: Taking a Trip
Title: Taking a Trip
Author:
jordannamorgan
Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist
Characters: Edward and Alphonse.
Setting: General.
Rating: G.
Length: 200 words.
Summary: Ed is not happy about his latest failed strategy.
“This is stupid,” Edward Elric muttered venomously, as he trudged along the road to the train station with his suitcase slung over his back. “I can’t believe we have to go all the way out there to the boonies again!”
Trailing a few steps behind him, Alphonse Elric sighed. “Well, it is your own fault for not getting your work done the first time, Ed.”
Work, he might have added, that he knew Ed simply didn’t want to do. But while he was honestly not unsympathetic to Ed’s distaste for carrying out yet another chimera investigation, orders were orders… and by this time, Colonel Mustang knew every nuance of Ed’s bull far too well to fall for any of it. They were lucky to be sent off without an even harsher scolding.
“I had a valid excuse!” Ed shot back over his shoulder with a glare.
Briefly halting in Ed’s wake, Al could only stare in dismay and shake his helmet. He had always known his elder sibling could be childish, but really: this particular occasion just felt like a new low.
“…Purposely tripping on a rock and pretending to get amnesia about the job is not an excuse, Brother.”
