Silmarillion: Fanfic: Build Anew
Title: Build Anew
Fandom: Silmarillion
Challenge: Favourite
Other prompt: B2MEM , Day 2: Most of the Valar have a very specific concept they are linked to: Ulmo to water, Nienna to grief, Irmo to dreams, and so on. Choose one of these concepts as your focus while making your creation,
Rating: G
Length: 100
Content notes: N/A
Author notes: Thanks go to Zana, Morgynleri & Runa for encouragement & sanity-checking.
Summary: Ampanotalëamo swam up from a distant, slow dream of stone.
Ampanotalëamo swam up from a distant, slow dream of stone. They had been deeply submerged, one with the intricate/simple, swift/slow, still density/dancing openness of ancient bedrock, of new lava, of layered shell-sand-mud becoming sea-bed. Time had been meaningless. Now it was not. Now the idea of what could be shaped from stone (wood, metal glass, will and intent) took hold, flowered into walls and spaces, places for people. Places for a particular person. A particular, favorite place-space-structure. Tir Inforn that was rebuilt itself in memory, sang anew in possibility. Hestocánë's fëa touched theirs again. Anything was possible.
