Summary: Ray Kowalski helps Ray Vecchio.
Since Ray Vecchio had arrived back from Vegas and found his beloved Riv had, once again, bitten the dust because of Fraser, he’d made it his mission to find a new one.
Ray looked in every classic car magazine that sold cars and on websites, noticeboards, everywhere possible.
Sitting at his desk Ray looked up when he heard the happy whistling from his partner and friend Ray Kowalski has he entered the bullpen.
Ray couldn’t help but smile and join in making the other man laugh. When he got to their desk Ray asked the blonde, “What’s got you so happy at this hour of the morning?”
Ray Kowalski pulled out a card and handed it to him saying, “My Dad found you a green Riv, the vintage year you are after as well. The guy said that he would hold it for you.”
The Italian Detective’s face lit up and in a shocked voice he asked, “How? I have been trying everywhere for weeks.”
Sitting down at his side of the desk, Ray shrugged his shoulders saying, “I’ve no clue. My Dad and Uncle have some serious contacts so when he heard about what I did to your car, I got one heck of a lecture. Then I was told to say sorry to you, which I did. He has been looking since then and when he found it, he was thrilled.”
Ray sat there beaming, clutching the card in his hand as he picked up the phone to arrange to see it. He managed to get a viewing for that very evening.
Ray Kowalski offered to drive him as he had no plans until later that night. He had dinner and a movie planned with Fraser and Dief as they hadn’t seen each other in a few days because of work.
Ray loved the car at first sight; it was in perfect condition with all the original parts so Ray snapped it up for far less than he’d expected to pay for it.
As he got into his GTO, Ray said to Ray, “I wonder how long this one will last with Benny around?”
Just as he uttered those words the heavens opened and down came the rain. It was as if the weather was telling him to beware when Benny was near.
Ray laughed and got into his new car, following his friend in his new beloved Riv once again.
