Summary: Subspecies are user-created dragon categories for Flight Rising, a fanon addition to the official lore. This is a Shadow flight subspecies; Dark Masks are pearlcatchers who stayed too long in the Tangled Wood and were marked by the Shadowbinder's thorns and dark magic.
