Summary: The main character's thoughts during the battle with Lautrec in Anor Londo.
Executing a murderer wasn't murder. Everyone knew that. Okay, so it was a little ambiguous when the murder had happened compared to the current time, or whether it was considered the same world. Still, she had seen it happen and there had been severe consequences and if she could stop that from happening again, she supposed she didn't even care whether it made her a murderer or not. Maybe the Blades of Darkmoon would come for her, maybe they wouldn't, or they would let her speak her piece (she would have done so for her mark, had she not known it wouldn't work, and had it not been so urgent).
Stepping out of the shadows from behind a pillar, where magical artifacts obscured her from both vision and sight, she swung her broadsword. One stroke floored him, the second almost bisected him. Several bolts both from dark magic and mundane but equally lethal crossbows hurtled towards her but the other shadows were already fading out. Time had returned to normal, its wounds from unspeakable deeds now closing up.
She, too, now vanished from this unplace, emerging into a world where balance was restored.
