The water pools beneath the trees, dripping down off leaves to rest in the shadows.
Oropher wants to disturb all of them, like the Noldor had come and disturbed their lives.
Instead he picks up the next body (they had been elves and now they’re shells that he will never see again unless he dies, because Mandos has only ever returned Lúthien to their lands) and moves it to the caves until they decide how to bury them.
He cannot bring himself to look at the ones he was friends with.
He steps around another pool to find another body.
